LMH Summer Programmes 2025 - Application Form

Welcome to the LMH Summer Programmes 2025 Application Form. Please complete this form, taking care to answer all the required questions (with *) and upload an up-to-date academic transcript and (if applicable) evidence of English language proficiency.

Within two weeks of receiving your completed application, Lady Margaret Hall will contact you to let you know whether your application has been successful. If you are offered a place on the programme, you will be sent instructions for paying the programme fee deposit. When your programme fee deposit has been received by Lady Margaret Hall we will contact you to let you know that your place on the programme is confirmed.

LMH will store your personal data in line with current data protection legislation and will contact you via email to process your application in relation to the LMH Summer Programmes. LMH will not share or distribute your personal data for other purposes than related to your application to and attendance at the LMH Summer Programmes.

Part 3. Select Your Course(s) at LMH

A typical LMH Summer Programmes lasts for six weeks and consists of two course options, though you may choose to study one course lasting three weeks, or select three courses and join us for nine weeks. 

You can choose to take courses in the same subject area, or you can select courses from different disciplines to create your own personalised programme. 

You can also apply for a mix of attendance modes, joining a residential programme followed by an online one or vice versa.

Lady Margaret Hall offers a 5% Programme Fee Discount to returning students.

Part 6. Support Your Application

To complete your application, you also need to upload a personal statement, an up-to-date or most recent academic transcript and (if applicable) evidence of English language proficiency.

Your personal statement should tell us why you want to study on an LMH Summer Programme, what interests you about the course(s) you have chosen, what you hope to achieve on the programme, and why you think you would be a suitable candidate. If there are academic pre-requisites for your chosen course(s), such as the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning courses, please make sure to outline your relevant experience.

If you are a first year undergraduate student who does not have a transcript yet, please contact vacation.programmes@lmh.ox.ac.uk.

Students who are not either native English speakers or taught in English at their home university must demonstrate their English language proficiency with one the following:

  • TOELF iBT score of 98
  • IELTS score of 7.0 (no less than 6.5 in each component)
  • Duolingo English Test score of 125 (no less than 115 in each section)
  • Cambridge English Scale score of 185

If you do not have any of the options included above, but have other English language qualifications you would like to be considered, please upload the evidence. We will contact you to discuss other options if we are unable to accept the evidence you provide.

    Please provide a personal statement of no more than 500 words. This statement must be in your own words. If you use ChatGPT or similar AI programs to write your statement your application will not be taken forward.
